All children can benefit from the tactile and visual stimulation of a safe, well-made SENSORY TOY, but special needs children, perhaps, stand to benefit the most. Children with Autism, Apergers, PDD, Down syndrome, sensory integration/processing disorder, visually disabled and more will love playing with this SENSORY TOY -- and the variety of textures (and colors!) will provide enhanced stimulation and input necessary to neural development.

Small and portable, this SENSORY TOY can easily be tucked into a car seat, swing, or stroller. Attractive and playful, your child can carry this toy anywhere without drawing attention to its therapeutic purpose.

In addition to a variety of textures from silky smooth to nubby, velvety to furry, each toy has a variety of ribbons around the edge to diddle and stroke. Safety looped to prevent frayed threads which can wrap around baby's fingers. Poking little fingers through the loops enhances fine motor control.

Destined to become your child's cherished lovie - be prepared to tuck this away in your memory box when outgrown!

Made of all new materials, no two toys are identical in color or material so please examine picture carefully. Item measures approximately 12" square (including ribbons).

SENSORY TOYS are machine-washable in cold water for your convenience.

Our SENSORY TOYS are hand-pieced, and most are hand-sewn.Most have additional tie-offs to keep quilting from bunching.

We are proud to have a terrific grandmother creating each one of our SENSORY TOYS.

Many years ago, Joan gave birth to a daughter with Down syndrome while serving as a missionary in Mexico. Tragedy struck and Joan and her husband lost their precious little one as a toddler. Although they later went on to give birth to two "typical" chidlren, the memory of their special little one is still in their minds and hearts. Retired now, and living on a limited income in a small trailer, Joan sews each one of these SENSORY TOYS completely by hand. Not only does this work provide needed income, but she and her husband find this prayerful work to be an especially meaningful way to help other families and give tribute to her daughter in heaven. Joan hopes to be able to invest some of her profit towards the purchase of a sewing machine to continue producing quality products for people with special needs.

SENSORY TOYS make an ideal gift for any special needs or just plain specially loved baby.
